As many of you might know or not know, I work in fashion as a Product Development Manager. Being in the corporate world the normal attire for most is usually business or business casual. Thankfully though I have the opportunity to work for a company where neither of this exists and I am able to pretty much wear whatever I would like to work. Obviously not booty shorts and tank tops but yes a more casual wardrobe. Let’s just say that I don’t get restricted to wearing jeans only on Friday’s. While this is my 9-5 norm which I am so fortunate for, it isn’t always the case for everyone.

For some fashionistas, business or business casual is your typical button down & pencil skirt. Yet, these days the normal power suit of button downs and pencil skirts have changed quite a bit. I can remember when I started in the corporate world, business casual was my normal and I was so bored of button downs and dress pants. I seeked out fun and new ways to go business casual without pushing the envelope.

It seems these days that women are throwing out the normal day to day power suit and putting their own spin on things. Which I think is absolutely great because sometimes the same mundane thing everyday can get a little overdone and feel restrictive.

Today I am bringing in my version of the updated power suit…The Jumpsuit. I can say I am obsessed with jumpsuits, I find them super comfortable and so versatile. You are easily able to take your look from day to night. They are the perfect piece to update that everyday business look while still looking polished and chic. Since we are talking more business here, to update my look to be work ready I have added a slimming ribbed sweater (definitely don’t want to add to much bulk to the look with a oversized sweater) and casual simple heels. This look can take you from day to night with a change of a heel and added jewelry.

There are so many ways to business this jumpsuit up, if you love those white button downs it would be perfect under this jumpsuit or add a fun blazer to polish off the look. The possibilities are endless when changing up your everyday power suit.

While the staple power suit is always here to stay, there are ways to play it up with your own personal style. So go have fun with it and tell me how do you like to update your Power Suit.

Loves I hope everyone has a great day
