It has always been a dream and a huge wanderlust when I would see people travel to Greece especially Mykonos and see all their beautiful photos of this Magical place. That when it was time for me to experience I was not wasting a minute to explore. Though we enjoyed our short time in Athens I was beyond excited to finally explore the islands and our first stop was Mykonos.
We left Athens and jumped on the seajet ferry headed to Mykonos, which was actually very quick only about a three hour ride. (hence one quick nap for hubby to rest and me to play on Instagram). We were finally in Mykonos (insert jumping for joy emoji lol). I do have to say we did not waste a minute to start exploring. We first headed to our hotel Mykonos Theoxenia which was the nicest hotel with the best service when we arrived. The best part the hotel was right by town so it was a short walk to begin our exploring adventures.
I swear ever corner was painted in blue and white we couldn’t get enough the beauty of this small island. The pictures you see just do not do enough justice of how everything looks in person.
Every time we turned another corner it was just more beautiful then the previous one we just came from. Though the island is small you can definitely get lost in all its beauty. We just continued to walk along the paths throughout the afternoon until our hearts content. I literally wanted to take one of the beautiful flowered vines home with me.
After a very early morning getting to our ferry ride to Mykonos and knowing that we were not going to be stopping once we arrived. I knew that I wanted to be extra comfortable for a late day of exploring. I threw on this beautiful Free People crochet midi dress and it definitely did not let me down. It was the perfect throw on dress to walk around and still be super comfortable. And I wanted to blend in with the scenery a little bit too lol.
It was so nice when you found a empty street to take photos you really got to capture all its beauty with no interruptions.
These blue doors were scattered all over the island and not only just doors windows, the shutters with bursts of colors all around. Just simply magical I do have to say.
As many of you have heard Greece is very famous for its sunsets, unfortunately this night it was blocked by a beautiful big cruise ship (no worries we finally got a good photo of it). We ended our night along the beautiful Little Venice as it is called enjoying drinks at a wonderful restaurant Caprice.
Happy Friday Loves I hope everyone has a lovely weekend
